The luxury lodge is Sanctuary Retreats Swala, situated under a giant baobab tree. The dining area, lounge, and deck are lifted on stilts allowing views of a busy water hole and the grasslands of Tarangire. The property features a chic, contemporary African design. Each of the twelve canvas tented pavilions is shaded by tall acacia trees, and each has Wi-Fi. They are exquisitely furnished, yet still close to nature. They offer full board, sundowners, bush dinners, and picnics.

Singita Faru Faru Lodge embodies a fresh take on African bush appeal and ushers in a new era of luxury wilderness safaris. Its contemporary African design and close-up views of a busy water hole alongside the Grumeti River invite a connection with the bush, while vast decks, an interactive kitchen, and multiple dining areas add personality to every culinary moment. The café style bar at the heart of the lodge hums with a subtle sparkle that spills over to the pool area and fire pit for a magical evening under the stars. In addition, they offer Wi-Fi and a spa.

day 12

Drive to the adjacent Ikorongo Game Reserve for a full day’s exploration.

day 13

Drive early morning to adjacent Serengeti National Park. (2 nights)

The luxury lodge is Sanctuary Kichakani Serengeti Camp, which means “in the bush” in Swahili. Their remarkable luxury tents are packed up and moved in a style evocative of the exploring pioneers during the 19th century, yet with all the modern comforts. The camp follows the wildebeests and zebras in their annual migration cycle. This extraordinary escape is located at two different Serengeti locations, inviting you to intimately experience the migration. In addition to sophisticated private tents, the main tent flows into lounges and dining wings and is open to reveal the land’s spirit. Savor international and traditional Tanzanian flavors conjured up by the Chef and his team, and evenings can be spent gathered by the traditional fire pit to exchange stories under starry skies and listening to tales of wildlife encounters. In addition, the property offers Wi-Fi and full board.
