7 Day Maasai Mara & Serengeti Wildebeest Safari

Be prepared to be astonished by the Mara Triangle’s vastness and the largest concentration of migratory game animals on the planet.

The “great wildebeest migration” is a big loop each year between the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania and the Maasai Mara National Reserve. It is impossible to predict the exact time of the migration as it is predicated on the eco-system’s long and short rains. Regardless, you are guaranteed to see wildebeests wherever you go. Both parks contain large elephant herds, huge lion prides, leopard, cheetah, rhino, and Cape buffalo (the Big 5). The Serengeti eco-system, which includes Kenya, is home to hundreds of exotic birds, including rare birds of prey.

day 1

An early morning drive to Maasai Mara National Reserve includes your complimentary pick-up in Nairobi and a thermos of Kenya coffee or tea.

The Luxury lodge is Sanctuary Olonana Camp, one of the 10 best luxury safari lodges in Kenya. This exceptional lodge represents the perfect fusion of location and form in the bush. Each of the 14 glass-sided suites opens to views of a private stretch of the Mara River. This property is where the famous last scene from “Out of Africa” was filmed. A private and secluded clearing is prepared for an elegant dinner in the middle of the African bush. As the sun swiftly sinks, enjoy a sundowner by a magnificent log fire. The table setting is sophisticated and elegant with wildflower arrangements, and candles flicker in the darkness, throwing golden lights on the table as you dine. After dinner, retire to the warmth of the campfire where brandies or liquors are served during your contemplation of the African night. Hot air balloon safaris are available at an additional cost
